Mike Vallely has proven his diversity time and time again throughout the years. His name has been one of the biggest names in the skateboard world for over 35 years and he has always been known as more of an artist on his board than an athlete. “Skateboarding for me has always been about self-expression, it’s a creative outlet and it has always gone hand and hand with music as far as I’m concerned”.

Loud, aggressive, and angry is the style of music that the Rats play, just like the music they all grew up on. The band does tend to carry a bit of a chip on their shoulder, but they are inspired to turn that anger into something positive through their music. That’s what makes their music so relevant now. The music is all about inspiring others in a positive manner. The boys may be older now and matured in many ways, but they still have a passion for life, and that passion will never mellow.

Originally released in 2002 and long out-of-print, this EP is a one-time pressing made in tandem with the band’s return this summer. With shows already scheduled with The Aquabats throughout June, July, and August, they are hitting the ground running.
